JUDO Training Report

Grihini has conducted 5 days JUDO training for 20 blind and low vision boys and girls.The event was inaugurated on the occasion of “World Disabled Day 2017”. The training programme duration from 28h November 2017 to 2nd December 2017. Session start with welcoming of trainer Mr. Shake Sameer ( Secretary Chhattisgarh Judo Association) Ms Asha kumari trainer, and Chief guest Mrs. Rashmi Panpalia, Mrs. Ritu Jain (Member Kalptaru Mahila Mandal) followed by lightning of lamp.
In Inaugurating ceremony of the training, Mr. Shake Sameer (Secretary Chhattisgarh Judo Association), said that, this type of training was conducted for Blind and low vision boys and girls for the first time in Chhattisgarh. He also mention that now a days in society JUDO training will help blind and low vision girls for self-defence. He also motivate all blind and low vision boys and girls to take part in National level Paralympic JUDO competition. After that Mrs. Ritu Jain motivate all blind and low vision girls and boys that they can achieve their dream. Then Mrs. Rashmi Panpalia told participants to learn different techniques of JUDO and win National level Paralympic JUDO competition.
The objectives of the programme were explained by Mrs. Rupa Srivastava, Director of Grihini,. She highlighted challenges face by blind and low vision boys and girls”. She also present the views of society regarding blind and low vision person.
From next day session Trainer Mr. Shake Sameer explain important things to keep in mind while doing JUDO. After that warmup exercise was conducted for Blind and low vision boys and girls. Then in next session JUDO session is conducted in which participants learnt about different techniques of JUDO.
On 2nd December 2017 closing ceremony of World Disability Day 2017 JUDO training was organized at Gramin vikash Kendra, Sahyog Hall, Hirmi. Closing ceremony started with welcoming of Chief Guest was done which was followed by lightings of Lamp. On this occasion chief Guest Mr. Ashish Panpalia (Unit Head Ultra-Tech, Hirmi), Mr. GC Panth (F.H.H.R), Mrs. S. S Kanawat ( HOD), Mr Anil Jha (Ultra- Tech CSR ), Mr. Anurag Mishra (NRLM Block Program Manager) were present. After that blind and low vision boys and girls perform cultural program which was followed by launching of GRIHINI documentary movie by Mr. Ashish Panpalia (Unit Head Ultra-Tech, Hirmi).
Then blind and low vision boys and girls perform JUDO in front of Chief Guests and show different techniques of JUDO what they have learnt in last five day.
After that Mr. Ashish Panpalia (Unit Head Ultra-Tech, Hirmi) said this type of training must be conducted for Blind and low vision boys and girls. He motivate boys and girls to take active participation in national and international level Paralympics JUDO competition. Mr. Anurag Mishra (NRLM Block Program Manager) also motive blind and low vision boys and girls and told that be fearless and always ready to face challenges. He also mention about GRIHINI PWDs SHG are engaged in different activity to earn their livelihood.
At the end of the programme vote of the thanks was given by Mrs Rupa Shrivastava (Director, Grihini) in which she also mention that from 20 participants Nehru, Nakul, Shakuntla, Jageswari, Manjula, Chaiti, Chandrakali got selected for National Level Paralympic JUDO competition. After that prize given to best performer of JUDO and moment was given to Chief Guest. This was followed by National Anthem.
